The sun beemed everything past the horizen. A cool breeze swept thru the deep blue.Clouds moved as the world spun. The sky was blue as usual, but something seemed different about the open sky....There was nothing soaring high so a young dragon by the name of Kohaka strechted her mighty wings and flapped them as hard as she could. So she left the hot beach and took off into the skies. She roared and screeched, circling the island watching the winds blow thru her mane and her fur.Kohaka decided it was time to go back to shore.
When she got back she noticed the crabs were gone "What's happening?" she questioned and flew into the forest searching for the creatures that thrived there....but none were found.... "Is the island dieing?" she questioned again and flew back to shore. When she returned she layed down, stomach against the sand, face in the water. Kohaka watched the fish swim away frim her face and not torwards it...Soon enough she was all alone.

Fish fish everywhere!
Moving gracefully beneath the surf, a dark figure snaked its way along the coastline, safely hidden beneath the water. Every now and again, its furry back would break the surface as it twisted, turned and bent its elongated body like a serpent but no more than a few inches of its form could be seen at one given moment...
Unless, of course, you had your head in the water...
A smile on his beastly face, the black dragon chased after the fish stupidly, changing targets every time one escaped into the reef. A clever dragon would've lay in wait and ambushed the quick little creatures but the 60 ft Eastern wasn't exactly aware of this. So, he chased them out right, following them to the best of his abilities, which were great for such a large creature but no good enough to catch the quick little fishies...
But something changed that...
Following a small group of fish, the dark dragon was sure he was about to catch them when they suddenly changed coarse, darting right back toward him without warning. He opened his jaws in only surprise and one of the escaping creatures swam right in, allowing the young dragon his first catch of the day...
But what made them charge him like that?
Turning his golden gaze upward, he was surprised to find the face of another dragon poking off of the shore, submerged beneath the surf. With the fish safely in his mouth, he swam over to her curiously...

The fae lefted her head looking straight at him. Her tail smacked the ground and slapped the air silly. Kohaka opened her mouth and a few words sliped out of her mouth "Hello..."She blinked for a little bit before looking deep into the water, not seeing anything expect for coral and water....nothing else....She looked back up at the dragon and smiled gantly. Hello...Omg what is wrong with me?!? She started to think but was inturupted by the howling winds.
Soon enough kohaka realised there were fish in the water, pushing her claws into the water and pulled up every few minutes hopeing to catch something big like always, but the fish just swam away from and not towards her What's going on with the fish? "Is there..." she started under her breath and did not finish.

Still suibmerged, the black dragon couldn't answer his female counterpart. Though he could hold his breath for a long time, he couldn't speak underwater like some water dragons. Understandable, considering he wasn't even a water dragon. In fact, he was the exact opposite. His kind wasn't supposed to be even near the water...
Rather than stay quiet, he poked his head up above the surf, smiling at the strange from around the fish before dropping it into his paws so he could speak...
"Hi!"
((Sorry it ended so quick. I have to go to class now...))

The fae started to draw some kind of symbol in the sand. What could it mean? Who knows... She looked up at the dragon "Why are you here?" She smiled and rushed one of her claws through her mane and the other still buried in the sand. Kohaka opened her mouth and yawned.
The sun beemed on the two mighty creatures. The white female was geting hot but was the male? Well probaly not seeing how he's in the water but why wasn't kohaka getting hot? She strectched her wings and beat the wind to keep them cool. Ko listened to strange noises coming from deep inside the forest it was probaly her brother but she payed no atention to it.

Treading water with his mighty tail out of sight, the eastern dragon went from smiling warmly to curiously confused. Why was here there? Even he didn't exactly know why he'd chosen that specific spot to fish. But then again, he liked to get away from that dark island every now and again. He needed the exercise...
"Um... I'm catching some lunch for my brother."
Letting a rather childishly proud smile cross his elongated jaw, he held up his prize with one paw, gripping it by the tail between two very powerful yet stubby fingers. But the slippery fin managed to slide from his grasp, causing the fish to drop down into the water. Yelping, the dragon dove in after it quickly, returning to the surface only second later with a sheepish grin on his maw...

"Oh my.."
Kohaka dove into the water and fished for a while. Soon she came up with a mouth full of fish. She tried to smile but if she did the fish would gradually slip out of her mouth. She walked back to her spot on a rock suronded by an ocean of sand. The fae dropped all the fishh she caught and smiled like a dog. The mighty beast's whiskers started tickling her neck, she giggled for a bit.

Diving down with the female, the eastern dragon fished as well, simply because that was what he was here for in the first place. His elongated body was perfect for this kind of activity, his fur slicked down and ears against his skull making his body almost perfectly streamlined. His short legs were relatively powerful and the toes were webbed, making even slow swimming an easy task. But when he needed a quick burst of speed, his long serpentine tail and generally snake-like body shape allowed him to simply wriggle through the surf like a crocodile might, his legs tucked in and his tail doing all the work...
He surfaced a few minutes after she did, his long jaws packed with fish and a few in the crooks of his arms. Still, it was nothing compared to her massive catch. He was still young and rather inexperienced with fishing though his skills were far above his young age group. Clabbering up onto the shore rather clumsily, the black dragon calmly laid his fish down on the sand, piling them up neatly and grinning at the sight.
Well, it was impressive to him, if no one else...

The young white dug into he rpile of fish looking for the one[/i. Finally she found the largest sea bass she seen there..She was ready to bite into the fish...Until she saw something shining in her pile. She threw her arms into the pile and grabbed the shiny object "Gold?" She looked puzzled, there had never been gold in the ocean...That is until now. She dove back into the water and searched for more gold. The young dragon had a hard time finding some so she resurfaced and grinned oddly before diving into the water once more. She resurfaced with nothing in her claws, the fae took her spot back and just relaxed. She looked at the male dragon then at the ocean.
"So...How's life?"

The black dragon was a little surprised when the female dove back into the ocean withou any warning he could hear. Confused, he trotted up to her rock rather awkwardly, tripping himself a few times with his oversized paws and tail. Once at the top, he peeked over the edge cauciously, afraid of tumbling into the surf. Though he probably wouldn't be hurt by such a minor fall, he still wasn't interested in the experience...
Confused, he watched from his crouched position at the edge of the rock, completely unaware of what the strange fae was doing down there.Giving in with a tilt of his long canine head, he slowly turned back, walking back down the rock face with confusion written all over his face. No sooner then when he plopped down beside his fish and begin to scrape off the scales of the first one, the strange drak returned to her rock and began to sunbathe...
Still wresting with what she'd done previously, the male didn't answer at first, just stared at her with a curious expression...
"Um... fine. And yours?"

The fae turned and started clawing her rock. "It's fine." She tossed fish in the air and cooked the fish with her fire shot. The fish shriveled up and fell into the water. The sizzling sound clamed ko down a bit. She shooke her mane and closed her eyes but kept one eye open "You know theres a rock behind you." Then she curled up like a serpant and kept her wings spread out.
Ko's tail wiggled toward the water and grabbed a fish. She tossed the fish toward her mouth and caught it. The trees swayed from side to side, seagulls sang beautiful songs of life. The white dragon roared and set her head down against the rock. Still her whiskers tickled her neck. She dropped the fish and watched it hit the ground.

The male dragon nodded absent mindedly to the strange female, his full attention on de-scaling the fish. he was a rather finicky eater and didn't like the taste of fish scales. Not only that but they tend to get caught in his sensative teeth, irritating his gums to no end. So, to save himself some heartache, he would scrape the scales off of the fish before he ate it, using one of his delicate yet sharp claws to simply scrape them away like a Lottery ticket...
"That's good to hear..."
His long ears swiviled around to lay comfortably against his head, taking in but ignoring most of the sounds of the island around him. At no point did it occur to the boistrus youngster that he was laying on Dragon Roost island and therefore probably speaking with the Roost guardian. Instead, he simply glanced over his shoulder at the rock the female spoke of before casually going back to his fish...
"Yeah I know... but I like the sand here better...."
He paused, holding up the partially scale-less fish to examine it momentarily before lowering it again and scraping at it once more...
"There isn't much of it where I live so I try to enjoy it while I can..."

"Where do you live?"
She opened one eye again and watched him. She licked her lips and grabbed the fish, the guardian threw the fish into her mouht and crushed the bones. She spit the bones out and swallowed the rest of the fish. Her nostrils flared as she took air in. Ko thought she heard Valoo call her but it was probaly the seagulls or her imagination.
"It's always nice here..."
She paused for a few seconds before continuing her sentence "....That is until the Rito tribe disapeared..." She sighed and looked up at Valoo's nest. "Valoo has been quite upset since it happened..." The fae stopped and diddn't finish.

The male held up the fish again, studying it before flipping it over and de-scaling the other side, shrugging in response to the female's question...
"Nowhere really, but I stay with my brother on Sedirus. He was banished there when his father started the massive chain of Roost take-over attempts...."
He paused suddenly, finally realizing where he must be a who he must be talking to. He was on the Dragon Roost... this fae was probably the guardian. But wait... He though tameus was the guardian of the Roost until he got sealed away in that ice sculpture... Furrowing his brown, the dragon just shook his head free of such thoughts, going back to his fish and listening to the fae's rebuttal...
"I still think it's nice here, even after the tribe left. It's heaven compared to Sedirus..."
He paused, holding up the bald fish proudly, examining it for the last time with a grin...
"Heck, I'd trade Rivers of laval and dead forests for warm sands and Night Rainbows any day."
With that, he tossed up his meal, finally gulping it down with a few swift chomps of his jaws. Being the clumsy one he was, the dragon missed the catch slightly and had to struggle a bit to get it into his mouth without using his paws. His jaws were strong and he was very keen with using them so it wasn't a difficult task...

Ko thought of the rito that fed her every day but her thoughts faded and she looked out to sea. She snarled after she heard what he said about his brother being the one trying to take over the island "He can try all he wants but it's not gonna work..." She closed her eyes and smiled like she would when a devious creature appeared and told lies.
"It's failed many times...Valoo will destroy those dreadful creatures if he must." Her brother's father started to appear on her mind telling her that one day the whole world will be in eternal darkness over ruled with dreaded creatures.. "Death come swift on a count of one...." she murmured

((Thanks a bunch. ^^))
The furry dragon was about to start on another fish when she began again but he froze when she mentioned the "dreadful creatures". Bodaway was not a dreadful creature. His paw, previously stretched out to grab another fish, suddenly slammed into the sand, the short young eastern dragon shoving himself up into a standing position, his long ears back and the golden cuffs around his neck and feet jingling with the harsh movement. His matching golden gaze was narrowed and his canine-like snout was tensed, inches away from a snarl...
"How dare you..."
Raising the hair along the back of his neck and shoulders, his words came out more of a growl than words...
"My brother is not dreadful. He never has been and never will be... It's you and your pompus Dragon Council that are dreadful."
Unable to contain much of his sudden anger, the tensed muzzle finally gave away to a harsh snarl. How dare she insult Bodaway! She didn't even know him! He didn't even do anything!
"He didn't even do anything you banished him, you pigs! Now he's stuck there forever when he was the only one in his family who refused to storm the roost! He was the only one that refused to attack and you banished him, how dare you call him dreadful!"
